![]() It is the age of social media.. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Vine.. everyone is sharing everything these days and im not about to say that's a bad thing.. I'm super addicted myself haha Actually, I think you'd find it hard to find someone who doesn't use at least one of these now days.... BUT when it comes to a wedding there is such a thing as 'Wedding Guest Etiquette'. Here a just a few tips that you should keep in mind when you are getting married or attending someone else's wedding; The prep! If you are with the bride before the wedding, a family member, a bridesmaid or someone helping out on the day... Do not upload pictures of the bride before the wedding.. those shots can wait till tomorrow! Some traditions will always stick.. and the groom may not want to see his future bride in her dress until the moment she walks down the aisle. Granted some Grooms do even help pick the dress these days but you are better off leaving this one till tomorrow.. Make your social media wishes clear!!. If you are ok with guest taking images on the day let them know but set your guidelines. Remind them to keep their flash off so not to blind you during special moments and you would think its a no brainer but remind people to stay out of the isle! I dont know how many weddings I have been to where phone clad guest have stepped into the isle to get THE shot of the bride walking down the isle.. but what they are forgetting is that the photographer is being paid to capture that beautiful moment...not the back of the guest head or their Iphone blocking the brides face! Also if the guest is in the isle they are probably blocking the grooms view of this stunning bride as well... #weddingguestetiquette Lastly, Guests.. If want to share make sure you ask permission!! Bit of an easy one but always remember to ask if its ok to post straight away.. some couples like to be the first to post to social media.. others don't care.. but the only way you will know is if you ask.

On the 23rd of August 2014 I was lucky enough to be the photographer at Rachel and Jakes magical Noosa wedding and then on the 29th of August 2015, I was again blessed to be able to capture another magical moment in their little families lives....
Waiting on baby Koby!! In July we created a Facebook comp for couples! Basically you had to send in a picture of yourself and your partner and the image with the most 'likes' by draw day won!
Taylah and Billy's image received a jaw dropping 2307 likes..... thus making them our winners. The prize...? A Free 1-2hr on location shoot at the location of their choice and 1 free 16x20 canvas. Taylah and Billy chose Little Cove beach at Noosa for their shoot and the timing turned out pretty perfect too, the very next week they celebrated their 1yr anniversary.. On the 8th of August 2015 Lauren, from Makeup Artistry by Lauren, and I spent the day playing dress ups with upcoming Sunshine Coast model Mady Russell to create some beachy/boho inspired portfolio images.
We started off at Moffat Beach, then made our way to Kings and on to Bulcock St. We chased the light and managed to find some pretty cool locations along the way. Hope you like them! :-) Bee Click HERE for the Vimeo link to these image! |
